NMI is committed to supporting the cross-cultural and academic interests and needs of our Spanish- and English-speaking students and families. To that end, we are pleased to announce our 2008 Summer Parent Program and Language Camp.
The Summer Parent Program and Language Camps involve families coming together to share meals before separating into distinct groups for specific learning activities. While the adults are engaged in the various community-building activities and programs designed to enhance understanding of dual language immersion education, the children enjoy the supervised Language Camp. Fun cultural activities exploring the traditions, arts, music, dance, etc. of a variety of Latin American regions will be the focus of these Language Camps.
This years’ events will be held Tuesday evenings, July 8, 15, 22, and 29 from 5:30 7:30 PM at the Catholic Multicultural Center/Centro Guadalupe, 1862 Beld Street.
Dinner will be from 5:30 6:00 PM and the parent’s and children’s activities will begin at 6:00 pm.
Childcare for children under 5 will be provided.
