2010 Summer Soccer Program

It’s not too soon to be thinking about Summer Soccer!

We are currently recruiting volunteer coaches for our 2010 Spanish-language summer soccer league, run in conjunction with Madison School and Community Recreation.

We are looking for Spanish-speaking volunteers. (It’s okay if your Spanish skills are better than your knowledge of the game!)

The season will start on July 18, with games usually on the weekends. More information will be available soon.

Please contact Tawña (English) at 577-6503 or Alicia (Spanish) at 441-1086 if you are interested in coaching.

Thanks to MSCR and the generous sponsorship of Noodles and Company, students of Nuestro Mundo Community School and other interested children, are invited to participate in our fourth annual summer soccer program.

This 3 vs. 3 summer soccer program is conducted in Spanish and refereed by MSCR staff.

Each team will have between 5 and 7 players and three members plus a goalie will be on the field at any given time. Leagues use smaller playing fields, promoting fast-paced games and more player action. Each game is 45 minutes in duration.

The league is open to players from 5 to 12 years of age. The teams are divided according to age groups as follows:

  • U6 for ages 5 – 6
  • U8 for ages 7 – 8
  • U10 for ages 9 – 10
  • U12 for ages 11 – 12

Each participant will enjoy a six-game season, weekly practices as scheduled by volunteer coaches and a team t-shirt, provided by Noodles and Company.
