- Nuestro Mundo Secondary School Committee
- Do you have an interest in seeing Nuestro Mundo Community School expanded into the middle school and possibly high school? Other parents and community members share your commitment.
Our committee has been hard at work researching best practices for the expansion of dual language immersion education into middle and high school, exploring options for expanding our current charter or creating an additional charter, identifying possible funding sources for the expansion, building support among the MMSD Board of Education and members of the community, and keeping parents and families abreast of new developments as information is available.
While we have support from a variety of parents and community members, we can always use additional assistance. Our work load is daunting and our time is limited, as we will have students of Nuestro Mundo Community School ready for middle school in the 201011 academic year, and the current NMCS charter is in the process of being renegotiated at this time. Our current charter expires in 2009.
For more information about how you can help with this extremely important and time sensitive task, please contact Committee Chair, Roseanne Drake-Schmitz at 516-5822.
